What Beverly Has to Offer

Founded in 1626, Beverly is one of the most historic communities in Massachusetts. The first commissioned naval ship is said to have launched from Beverly Harbor, allowing the seaside community to stake their claim as the birthplace of the American Navy.

Beverly boasts several beaches, including Brackenbury Beach, which is only a few steps away from Manor Homes at Whitehall.

Locally owned restaurants, stores, martini bars, coffee shops, bakeries, and a movie theater give the historic city a lively downtown. Beverly is also home to the Cummings Center, the site of hundreds of local and national businesses. The City of Beverly has five neighborhood elementary schools, one middle school, and a newly built high school. The area is served by several community buildings, including churches, recreation centers, and a recently expanded branch of the Beverly Public Library.

Less than a mile from Manor Homes at Whitehall in the other direction, Beverly Farms and the adjacent Prides Crossing are also vibrant communities with a small downtown and an eclectic mix of high-end restaurants, bakeries, and clothing stores.

If you want to venture into Boston for the evening, Beverly offers convenient transportation options, including a commuter rail station less than a mile from the Manor Homes at Whitehall, and easy access to Route 128.
