Events and Activities

Summertime in Beverly is full of activity for residents and visitors alike. Beverly Farms is busiest at the Fourth of July holiday. A private association of residents organizes a weekend-long agenda of activities, including community dances, children's events, softball games, and the famous costumed "Horribles" parade. Celebration of the holiday culminates with fireworks at West Beach, less than a mile away.

Lynch Park is close by, and features a lovely rose garden, children’s play areas, and kayaking. On Sunday evenings in summer, the park plays host to cultural events and band concerts. In autumn, there is a community road race and lobsterfest as part of the Homecoming festivities. At the New Year, Beverly has a First Night celebration, where residents and visitors walk the town and local businesses open their doors, offering holiday cheer.

Endicott College and Montserrat College stage various cultural and artistic productions, including displays of art, music and dancing. They also offer a wide array of continuing education opportunities throughout the year.
